Aqua66, our $5 million infinity pool is set to make a big splash on Toronto’s skyline. The 60-foot-long, infinity pool will be on the 66th floor of our building and it will be one of the highest pools in the Western Hemisphere!
Designed by Burdifilek International Interior Design, the pool will feature a three-sided sweeping view of the city to the south, and the waterfront. “From sunrise to sunset you get this changing view that is really a piece of art,” Burdifilek’s creative partner, Diego Burdi, told the Toronto Star. “We really wanted to create this urban oasis quintessential to this type of living.”
Riz Dhanji, our vice-president of sales and marketing knew that he was taking a huge gamble with his decision to put a pool on the 66th floor instead of penthouses that would go for $1,000-a-square-foot and up. At close to 5,000 square feet, that’s nearly $5 million of real estate revenue that would be lost by building the infinity pool instead of penthouses. But it’s a gamble that he knew would pay off because by offering residents something that is unlike anything that is on the market right now, the pool would ultimately help drive sales. “We looked at luxury hotels in Singapore and Hong Kong where they have done this and we wanted to give our buyers a taste of that luxury,” Dhanji told the Toronto Star. “We wanted to set it apart from anything else in Toronto, in Canada and even the U.S and came up with this idea of the infinity-edge pool which goes right up to the edge of the glazing with a south view that will be an incredible experience.”
The pool water seems to flow seamlessly right up to the glass but there’s actually a ledge just below the water’s surface where bathers can rest their elbows and take in breath taking views of the city around them. “It really will be a shared experience that will transport you to another world and a nice form of escapism to enjoy a city like this,” says Burdi.
We’re also going the extra mile for our residents with other amenities in the building. Located on the 64th floor and with southern views of the lake and the city, Lounge64 is our 3,715-square-feet entertainment space complete with a social lounge area bar, fireplace, billiards table, and catering kitchen.
On the seventh floor, there will be also be 9,310 square feet dedicated to amenities including a 3,390-square-foot outdoor terrace, two private dining rooms each with outdoor terrace and built-in barbecue areas, a state -of-the-art gym and yoga studio, and a virtual gym where you can enjoy an interactive fitness course.
It’s clearly evident that we don’t skimp when it comes to our amenities. We want our residents to have a truly over the top experience!
