Our neighbourhood is amazing. From entertainment, to shopping centres, and of course, great food, we’ve got it all. Picking a restaurant can be a tough decision, so we wanted to break it down for you and make it a little easier. Here are our 8 favourite restaurants in our neighbourhood.
Scaddabush
Located in Aura Condos, Scaddabush is the go-to Italian restaurant in the area. They’re known for their gigantic meatballs, which are also delicious, and their fresh mozzarella and pasta. They’re open for both lunch and dinner, so whether you need a new spot for a business lunch, or you need a break from the kitchen in the evening, Scaddabush is the perfect casual option.
Nando’s Flame-Grilled Chicken
With a new location at Bay St. and Grenville St., Nando’s brought their famous Portuguese-style peri peri chicken to our neighbourhood! At first glance, it may look like your average fast-food chicken joint, but Nando’s definitely isn’t. With so many chicken options, all doused in their signature peri-peri spice, as well as appetizers and salads, lunch at Nando’s will make the rest of your day better.
Fran’s Restaurant
What’s a neighbourhood without a greasy spoon brunch spot? The Toronto staple has been open since 1940, helping everyone from theatre folk to hungover students get through their day nourished. If you’re looking for a restaurant that would make its way onto Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, Fran’s is your spot. We suggest any one of their three egg omelettes or Franwiches - delish!
Reds Midtown Tavern
If you’re looking for more of an upscale vibe in the neighbourhood, Reds Midtown Tavern is a must-try. They’re another one of the fabulous restaurants located in Aura, which is right up the street from us. With an awesome selection of wine and an interesting menu that varies from traditional, Reds will keep you coming back for your special occasions.
Salad King
Salad King has been serving Toronto Thai food for the past 20 years. If you love traditional Thai flavours and, of course, Pad Thai (who doesn’t?), then this is the place for you. Also, if you love your food spicy then we suggest ordering 5 chilis. Anything more than that and you might need the fire department!
W Burger Bar
Burgers. Need we say more? Well, we’re going to anyways. They also have fried pickles. That should be enough, right?

Burrito Bandidos
Burrito Bandidos has made a name for themselves as the go-to post bar burrito spot by plunking themselves in the middle of the Entertainment District. Now that they’ve opened a new location at Yonge and College, burritos can be part of your diet at any time of the day. They also serve quesadillas or for those of you on a diet, you can forgo the tortilla itself and get it all in a bowl.
7 West
There is just something that makes 7 West stand out among the rest - they serve delicious food 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That’s right, a 24 hour, sit-down restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto, and better yet so close to our neighbourhood! They have sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and of course, breakfast. Pro-tip: we love going for some evening drinks there, the patio is great.
